Box 27-07
At 1300 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company and Ambulance 22-1 were alerted for an
auto accident reported serious at Route 41 and Derry Meeting Road. QRS 27 responded at
1311 hours due to a light crew with no engine driver. In the mean time, the accident was
reported with confinement and multiple patients, one with chest pain.
Rescue 22 (West Grove,) Ambulance 23 (Avondale) and Medic 94 were then dispatched.
Without hearing from either Station 27 or Station 22 for a Rescue or Engine, Station 23
was dispatched for an Engine. Sky Care 1 was put on standby.
At 1314 hours, QRS 27 was on scene. Captain 27, Dean Hoopes Sr. was "Derry Meeting
Command." Sky Care 1 was told that they were not needed.
Rescue 27, Rescue 22, Engine 23-3 and Traffic 23 all ended up at the scene to help where
needed. Rescue 22 was used to pop open the driver's door, to get to the patient. One
patient was taken to Jennersville Regional Hospital and one to Christiana Hospital.
