One Flown from an MVC in Upper Oxford

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2007 at 1912 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company, Ambulance
21-2 and Medic 94 were alerted for a motor vehicle crash South bound Route 896 North of
Homeville Road in Upper Oxford Township.  

Chester County fire board advised all units responding that Pennsylvania State Police
were on scene with one vehicle overturned in the roadway and one patient with
respiratory difficulty and neck pain.  

Upon arrival of Chief 27, Robert Neff, at 1923 hours and Medic 94-4 at 1924 hours,
SkyFlight Care was put on standby.  

Engine 27-1 arrived on scene at 1927 hours and Ambulance 21-2 at 1928 hours.  The
engine crew helped the ambulance crew and the medic with patient care.  SkyFlight Care
was requested to fly.  Chief 27 took "896 Command" and Assistant 27, Bill Simcox, took
"Homeville LZ."  

Rescue 27 arrived on scene and handled traffic control along with Lancaster County
Station 5-1 fire police.  

SkyFlight Care transported one patient to Lancaster General Hospital.  

After clearing the roadway, all units returned available by 2013 hours.
