Entrapment on Gum Tree Road

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 at 2242 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company, Parkesburg
Ambulance 28-2 and Westwood Ambulance 44 were alerted for an auto accident reported
with one vehicle overturned on Gum Tree Road East of Wilson Road in Highland
Township.
Engine 27-1 responded with 5 at 2246 hours. Fire Marshall 45 arrived on scene advising
that there was one patient trapped but conscious. At that time Engine 27-1 arrived on
scene and all units were re alerted adding Medic 94.
Deputy Lapp arrived on scene and established "Gum Tree Command."
Extrication was complete at 2303 hours.
The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital, Delaware via Ambulance 44 and
Medic 94-4.
All 27 units cleared the accident scene by 2349 hours.
