Hay Bales on Homeville Road

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007, at 1534 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for
hay bales on fire on the 4500 block of Homeville Road in West Fallowfield Township. At
1542 hours, the police were on scene confirming a large fire. Upon Engine 27-1's arrival,
they notified everyone of about 5 acres of barley field and a wagon fully involved. Deputy
27 assumed "Homeville Command." At that time, he called for two brush trucks and an
Engine and Tanker from Station 21. Crews contained the field fire, but the wagon was a
total loss. The fire was put under control at 1616 hours and All units returned available
by 1703 hours.
