Assist Station 22 on a House Fire

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007, at 2255 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was
dispatched for the full station to assist the West Grove Fire Company (Stations 12 and 22)
with a working dwelling in the 400 block of North Jennersville Road (RT 796) in Penn
Township.
Engine 27-1 went en route at 2259 hours with a crew of 5, followed by Engine 27-5 with a
crew of 6 at 2300 hours. The rescue went en route at 2303 hours with a crew of 6. Engine
27-1 arrived on scene and the manpower was sent to the manpower pull. The crew from
Rescue 27 and Engine 27-5 established the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT,) and was later
joined by a crew from the Avondale Fire Company's Engine 23-2.
The fire was placed under control at 2326 hours. The final 27 unit cleared the scene at
0131 hours.
Thank you to the Pomroy Fire Company - Engine 29-5 and the Christiana Fire Company -
Engine 5-2-1 for covering out first due while our units were tied up.
