COCHRANVILLE FIRE COMPANY
A Busy Afternoon

Friday November 9th, 2007 at 1249 hours, the Oxford Fire Company (Station 21,) West
Grove Fire Company (Station 12 & 22,) and Cecil County Truck 8 were alerted for a
building fire at Lincoln University, in Lower Oxford Township. The Cochranville Fire
Company was alerted at 1300 hours for two engines to assist due to no response from
Station 12.
With heavy smoke conditions showing, Safety 21 established "Lincoln Command."
Engine 27-1 arrived on scene at 1314 hours. Manpower was used for ventilation.

At 1358 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company, Atglen Fire Company (Station 26,)
Parkesburg Fire Company (Station 28,) Bart (LanCo Station 5-1,) and Ambulance 5-2-1
were alerted for a house fire on the 600 block of Watterson Road in West Fallowfield
Township.
Engine 27-1 was released from Lincoln University to cover their own call at 1403 hours.
After a report of smoke coming from the roof, Chief Rob Linnenbaugh, had Gap (LanCo
Station 4-2) added for R.I.T (Rapid Intervention Team.)
At 1407 hours, Engine 27-5 arrived on scene reporting fire from the rear and established
"Watterson Command" until the Chief arrived.
The crew from Engine 27-5 attacked the fire while other crews were ventilating the roof.
All 27 units returned available at 1553 hours.
