Assist Oxford with a Barn Fire

Saturday, January 26th, 2008 at 0601 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted
for one engine to relocate to Station 21 (Oxford) while they were out with many other fire
companies at a barn fire on the 900 block of King Row Road in Elk Township.
At 0647 hours, Engine 27-1 and Tanker 5-1 responded in place of Station 21 to a motor
vehicle crash reported with ejection on Forge Road in East Nottingham Township. Medic
94 and Ambulance 21-3 went responding from Jennersville Regional Hospital.
Engine 27-1 arrived on scene reporting one vehicle into a tree with one patient lying in the
roadway. The engine crew established command and requested a helicopter.
SkyFlight Care transported the patient to Christiana Hospital, Delaware.
Units cleared the collision at 0729 hours, then were requested to go to the fire scene.
At 0736 the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for additional manpower to respond
at a non emergency rate. Engine 27-5 and Rescue 27 responded.
After cleaning up at the fire scene, all Cochranville units went to the "21 House" for
breakfast. Special thanks to the ladies for making breakfast!
After Engine 27-1 and Rescue 27 returned back to Station 27, at 1029 hours, Engine 27-5,
Lancaster Engine 5-2-1 and Engine 26-1 were alerted for an odor investigation inside on
the 400 block of Market Street in place of Station 21.
Engine 27-5 returned available at 1046 hours.
