Injured Person Flown

February 16th, 2008 at 1156 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company's QRS along with Medic
94 and an Ambulance from the Union Fire Company (Station 21) was dispatched to the
400 block of Faggs Manor Road in Londonderry Township for an injured person from a fall.
QRS 27 and Medic 94-4 arrived on scene at the same time. Upon assessment of the patient
the aeromedic was requested to the scene to allow for the patient to be transported to the
hospital in the fastest manor.
At that time the Cochranville Fire Company was re-alerted for an engine for the
aeromedical landing. Engine 27-1 went en route with a crew of four within three minutes
of being dispatched.
The engine arrived and setup a landing zone and secured the area. SkyFlightCare 1
landed and the patient was transferred from Ambulance 21-2 to Sky Care. SkyFlightCare 1
transported the patient from the scene to the Christiana Hospital, Delaware.
