Homeville Road House Fire

Friday, March 21st, 2008 at 1115 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company, the Union Fire
Company #1 of Oxford, Lancaster County Ambulance 5-2, and Lancaster County Tanker
5-1 were alerted for a house fire on the 3000 block of Homeville Road in West Fallowfield
Township. Within minutes, Chester County Fireboard re alerted the call adding Medic 94
due to a call stating that there may still be people in the house.
Deputy 27 arrived on scene at 1123 hours reporting a working chimney fire with extension
and no entrapment. He then established "Homeville Road Command."
Engine 27-5 was the first apparatus on scene. It's crew quickly extinguished the fire on the
first floor with one 1.75" handline. The crew from Engine 27-3 checked for extension.
Others set up fans and opened windows to ventilate the house.
The fire was under control by 1141 hours.
All units returned available by 1230 hours.
