Barn Fire in East Nottingham

Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at 2145 hours, the Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford , West Grove
Station 12 and Cecil County Station 8 for an Engine and Tanker were alerted for a barn fire
on the 300 block of Mount Pleasant Road in East Nottingham Township .

Chief 21 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing and set up “Mount Pleasant Road
Command.
"

At 2149 hours the working fire dispatch was alerted which added Cochranville Fire
Company’s Rescue 27 and an engine from West Grove Station 22 for Rapid Intervention.  It
also added Medic 94.     

At 2155 Rescue 27 responded with eight.

At 2156 the first alarm tanker task force was alerted adding Cecil County Engine 8-1 and
Tanker 13, Cochranville Fire Company’s Engine 27-5, Lancaster County Tanker 5-13, and
Tanker 23 (Avondale.)

Engine 27-5 responded at 2158 hours with six.  Both 27 units arrived on scene by 2210
hours and their crews were sent to the manpower pool.

Crews helped with overhaul then returned available at 0030 hours.
