Stove Fire in Mindy Acres

Thursday, July 24th, 2008 at 1701 hours, the Cochranville and West Grove fire companies along
with a tanker from Avondale (Station 23) were alerted for an appliance fire on Bittersweet Drive in
Londonderry Township .
The caller reported that the stove was on fire and that it was spreading.
Engine 27-3 responded with 4 at 1704 hours and Engine 27-5 responded with 6 at 1705 hours. At
that time, Assistant Simcox arrived on scene reporting nothing showing from the exterior.
Tanker 23 was recalled.
Engine 27-3 arrived on scene assuming “Bittersweet CP.”
Crews extinguished the fire and cleared the smoke from the house.
The situation was placed under control at 1720 hours.
The homeowner was transported to Jennersville Regional Hospital via Ambulance 22 for smoke
inhalation.
All units returned available by 1813 hours.
