Wires Down in the Roadway

Sunday, August 10th, 2008 at 1440 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for wires
down in front of the fire house.

The caller reported that an electric line fell in the road and that the road was on fire.

Safety 27, C. Harris Jr.,  informed Chester County Fire Board that there was a 17,000 volt line
across the roadway.  He requested that Avondale State Police respond to the scene due to a car
being struck by the wire.

All 27 units returned available by 1623 hours.
