Six Calls in Less Than Two Hours

Box 27-00

1st Call:  At 1538 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for a brush fire on
Route 10 North of Route 41.  Engine 27-1 responded and was on location at 1545 hours.  
The fire started because of down wires.  Deputy 27, Doug Lapp, put out the fire with the
water extinguisher.  PECO was called to take care of the problem.

2nd Call:  At 1542 hours, Rescue 27 was called for RIT (Rapid Intervention) to assist
Oxford (Station 21) on a working house in Lower Oxford Township.  Engine 27-1 returned
back to station to have the crew switch trucks at 1552 hours, but the Rescue was out with a
crew before Engine 27-1 got back.  QRS 27 responded with more man power.  RIT was
recalled and both units returned to station.

5th Call:  At 1647 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company, Parkesburg (Station 28) and
Westwood (Station 44) were alerted for a house fire on Gum Tree Road between Humpton
Road and Acker Road.  Engine 27-3, 27-5, 27-1 and Rescue 27 were on scene at 1656 hours.  
Engine 28 and Ambulance 28-2 were on scene at 1701 hours.  Fire was in the basement, in
the oil burner.  Fire was under control at 1702 hours.  All units returned to station at 1732
hours.  

Box 27-12

Units: Rescue 27, Engine 27-1, Engine 27-3 and Engine 27-5
Mutual Aid:  Engine 28, Ambulance 28-2 and Rescue 44
3rd Call:  At 1604 hours, fire police were requested at the intersection of Routes 10 and 41
due to the traffic from the power outages.  A generator was set up, and fire police were
recalled per Chief 27, Rob Linnenbaugh.
4th Call:  At 1620 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company along with Ambulance 22-1 were
alerted for an auto accident on Route 41 between Faggs Manor Road and Keller Road.  
Rescue 27 arrive on scene at 1623 hours, Engine 27-1 and QRS 27 at 1626 hours.  Two
vehicles were involved.  One patient signed off and the other was taken to Jennersville
Regional Hospital.  The scene was cleared by 1643 hours.

Units: Rescue 27, Engine 27-1 and QRS 27
Mutual Aid:  Ambulance 22-1 and PSP
6th Call:  At 1650 hours, Fire Police from Station 27, Atglen (Station 26) and Christiana
(Lancaster County Station 5-2) were requested at Route 41 and Highland Road.  Units
responded and closed the scene at 1806 hours.
