Cochranville Fire Company's 2008 Banquet

On Saturday, March 15th, 2008 at 1800 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company held their annual
banquet at the Coatesville Moose.
The night started out with a prayer from Chaplin Geoff Burkhart, which was followed by dinner and
awards.
President Steve Murphy welcomed everyone and presented the 2007 President's Award to Nancy
Astheimer.
Chief Neff introduced all of the guests who came on behalf of the neighboring fire companies.
QRS Coordinator Latta Null introduced the guests who came on behalf of the neighboring EMS
companies. He also handed out awards for the top 5 QRS responders of 2007:
1. Jared Null
2. Dennis Keenan
3. Dean Hoopes Sr.
4. Geoff Burkhart
5. Dain Null
Deputy Chief Lapp and Assistant Chief Simcox presented the 2007 Fire Fighter of the Year award
to Geoff Burkhart.
Lapp and Simcox also handed out awards for the top 10 fire responders of 2007:
1. Lena Stoltzfus
2. Dean Hoopes Sr.
3. Jared Null
4. Latta Null
5. Geoff Burkhart
6. Doug M Lapp
7. H Dain Null
8. Dennis Keenan
9. Mike Trainor
10. Mike Harris
Dean Hoopes Sr. recognized and thanked all of the Junior Firefighters. He also recognized Dean
Hoopes Jr., Eric Kiser and Todd Burkhart for completing the Fire Fighter 1 course and Matt
Reynolds for currently taking the course.
After the program, music was provided by Cory and everyone danced the night away.
The Cochranville Fire Company would like to thank:
-the Banquet Committee for a great job planning the banquet .
-the Christiana Fire Company (Lancaster County) for standing by at our station during this event.
-everyone for sharing their great pictures!
