COCHRANVILLE FIRE COMPANY

2008 Fabulous Hubcaps Concert

April 12th, 2008
On Saturday night, April 12th, 2008, the Cochranville Fire Company presented for the third year
“The Fabulous Hubcaps.” The Hubcaps started performing hits from the 50’s and 60’s some 33
years ago. They are well known for their bowling shirts, quick costume changes and their musical
performances. This has made them one of America’s most sought after oldies show bands.
Setup for the performance started at 15:00 hours at the Octorara High School. While setting up the
show, Cochranville Fire Company members also answered several fire and QRS calls. It made a
busy afternoon and evening for the members.
The doors opened at 19:00 hours and the people were ready to hear some good old ROCK-N-
ROLL. People came to the show from Long Island, Baltimore, Berlin Maryland, Delaware and from
several counties in Pennsylvania. The show started at 20:00 hours and The Fabulous Hubcaps
were fabulous. The people were singing along and they even had people dancing in front of the
auditorium. The fire company members cleared the high school at 23:50 hours for some well-
needed rest.
A special thanks to Nulls Towing, Harris Metals LLC, Belfor, Sher-Rockee Mushroom, T. L. King
Cabinetmaker, Joseph’s Auto and Truck Center, Pasquales Pizza and Burkhart Inc. for helping to
underwrite part of the cost for the night.
