On Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 the Cochranville Fire Company was asked by the Octorara Y.M.C.A. to
bring our fire prevention trailer and remote controlled dog "Patches" to the Octorara Primary
Learning Center.

That is where the kids at school had what they called a "readeo."   Yes, that is the correct spelling.
The kids at the school had read as many books as they could throughout the year and if you read
a set number of books,  they had the chance to go to the readeo. This was our second year
attending this event for the school and we loved doing it for them.  We had kids go through the
smoke trailer.  We also had a tug of war challenge.  It was the kids against the firefighters. We all
had a great time and look forward to doing it again next year.
