Accident Involving Tractor on Limestone Rd

At 0921, the CFC Volunteers along with Medic 293 and Ambulance 8 were dispatched to the 3200 block of Limestone Rd in Highland Township for an accident involving a tractor.
Chief, Rescue, and Engine 1 all made the response. Chief 27 arrived at 0923 reporting a truck and a farm tractor with the farm tractor overturned and one patient trapped under the tractor. There was a large fuel spill and PECO equipment involved. The Chief established the Route 10 command and requested Null's Towing for a rotator to respond to assist with the extrication.
The Chief along with a PA State Police Trooper and bystanders rendered aid to the trapped patient.
27 units along with Null’s and the EMS resources arrived and began the lengthy operation of stabilizing the patient so that the tractor could be lifted. The tractor was lifted and the patient was further stabilized. The patient was flown from the scene to a nearby trauma center.
Chief 27 would like to thank all of our volunteers, Null’s, the PSP Troopers, EMS units, and fire police units for their quick and precise actions on this call.
