Working House Fire - 200 Block of Cochran Street

On November 8, 2012 Stations 27, 26, 28, 21, 22, Lancaster County Station 52 and Ambulance 5-2 were dispatched at 13:33 to the 200 block of Cochran Street for a house fire. West Fallowfield Police arrived on scene and reported they believed it was chimney fire with extension into the kitchen. Engine 27-2 went en route at 08:18 with a crew of five, followed by Engine 27-5 with two and Rescue 27 with three. Engine 27-2 arrived on scene 08:21 to find a single family dwelling with smoke showing from the front of the house and out of the chimney. The working fire dispatch was requested at 08:31, which added Lancaster County stations 42 and 51, and Medic 94 to the assignment. Crews immediately deployed a hand line and entered the structure. Crews located the fire in the kitchen and it was extinguished. Crews from stations 28 and 21 then assisted station 27's crew with overhaul and looking for extension into the house. The fire was placed under control at 08:43.
