House Fire - Penn Township

Sunday, November 24th, 2013 at 1242 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for an engine to assist the Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford on the 500 block of Cullen Road in Lower Oxford Township on a field fire. Engine 27-1 responded with a crew of four at 1248. At 1246 hours, an engine was alerted to assist the West Grove Fire Companies on a house fire on the 100 block of Paschall Mill Road in Penn Township. This fire was reported to have entrapment. Due to the field fire being placed under control, Engine 27-1 was redirected to the house fire. Chief 22 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing. The working fire dispatch called for the rest of our units. Engine 27-2 responded at 1253 followed by Rescue 27 at 1257. As 27 units arrived on scene the fire was being knocked down by other units. Engine 27-1 and Rescue 27’s crews acted as the Rapid Intervention Team, while Engine 2’s crew assisted with overhaul. Two patients were transported to Jennersville Regional Hospital. The fire was placed under control at 1327 hours. All 27 units returned back to station by 1500 hours. Thank you to Engine 33-5 for standing by at our station during this incident.
